High Fiber Protein Bars
Most bars marketed as high fiber clear the bar by a gram or two. Resist bars carry 14g of prebiotic fiber, which is roughly half a day's target in a single snack.
What counts as high fiber
The FDA lets a food call itself an excellent source of fiber at 5g per serving. That is a low ceiling, and it is why a bar with 6g and a bar with 14g can wear the same label. Check the Nutrition Facts panel rather than the front of the wrapper.
Where the fiber comes from matters
Resist uses prebiotic tapioca fiber, chia seeds and green banana flour. Prebiotic fiber feeds gut bacteria rather than simply adding bulk. Bars built on isolated chicory root at high doses are the ones most likely to cause bloating, so introduce any high fiber bar gradually and drink water with it.
Fiber without the sugar load
High fiber often arrives packaged with high sugar. Every Resist bar stays at 1g to 2g of sugar and 4g net carbs, sweetened with monk fruit instead of sugar alcohols like maltitol or erythritol.
